Posti and Siirto have entered into a cooperation agreement aimed at making the receipt and payment of invoices smoother in Finland.
The goal of the cooperation is to simplify everyday life for both consumers and invoicing companies. When invoices arrive in familiar and secure banking applications, handling payments becomes easier and more effortless for all parties involved.
Posti is a major intermediary of invoices in Finland. The cooperation responds to the growing need to reduce paper invoicing and to make digital services as easy to use as possible for consumers, without the need for separate applications.
How Siirto’s invoicing address lookup service works
Siirto brings together consumers’ e-invoicing addresses in a single register. When an invoicing company needs a customer’s e-invoicing address, Siirto retrieves and delivers it automatically based on bank-verified information. The invoicing company sends e-invoices as before, and the consumer receives and pays them in their own bank in the usual way. No separate e-invoicing agreements are required – activating Siirto in the bank is sufficient.
Digital invoicing reduces paper and administrative work
The cooperation does not introduce a new standalone application for consumers; invoices and payments are handled within familiar banking apps. At launch, Siirto will be available through OP and Nordea, which together reach more than 70% of Finns. Additional banks will join later.
For consumers, the reform means receiving and paying invoices in a familiar environment. For companies, it means faster payment cycles and less manual work in invoice processing. The renewed Siirto service will be launched before summer 2026.
The cooperation with Posti is part of Siirto’s broader renewal, aimed at modernising payments and invoice delivery to better meet everyday needs. For Posti, the cooperation is part of its ongoing work to develop invoice delivery services and promote digitalisation in Finland.
