Siirto is included in Verifone’s WooCommerce plugin. If you already use Verifone Verkkomaksut and the WooCommerce plugin, you can enable Siirto by updating the payment methods in the plugin settings, after which Siirto appears automatically as a new payment method. If you don’t yet use Verifone Verkkomaksut, the whole service can typically be set up in a few business days, without a separate development project.
Customers pay from their own bank, not with a card
At checkout, the customer chooses Siirto e-commerce payment and confirms the payment in their mobile bank. The money moves directly from their account to you. No card number, new login or app download is needed, because Siirto is part of the banking app the customer already uses. Customers choose for themselves which bank account the payment is made from, for example a joint family account instead of their personal one. This is especially handy in online stores where families make larger shared purchases. Siirto is Finland’s only true account-to-account payment service. The payment is based on SEPA Instant, which moves between banks in seconds.

Siirto now works for Nordea and OP customers, which means around 70 percent of Finns. Negotiations with new banks are under way.

How to get started
If you already use Verifone’s WooCommerce plugin: update the payment methods in the plugin settings, and Siirto will appear automatically as a new payment method.
If you don’t use it yet: order the service and install the plugin following Verifone’s instructions. Processing the order takes 1–2 business days, and installation requires no coding skills. Instructions are available at verifonewebpay.fi/kayttoonotto.
