PostNord Strålfors, the leading invoice intermediary in the Nordic countries, is partnering with Siirto Brand Oy to introduce a solution that makes the use of e‑invoices even easier than before.
Siirto’s e‑invoice address lookup service will be integrated into Strålfors’ Omnichannel platform, enabling consumers’ e‑invoice addresses to be retrieved automatically whenever a consumer has activated Siirto – without the need for separate activations or agreements with each invoice issuer.
According to Sami Niininen, Head of Business Development, Product Technology & Innovation at Strålfors, the cooperation strongly supports Strålfors’ goal of simplifying invoicing processes for both companies and consumers:
“Companies are looking for solutions that work reliably without unnecessary complexity. Siirto’s service complements our Omnichannel platform in exactly this way – it removes extra steps for consumers and enables companies to transition more quickly to electronic channels. The result is a smooth service chain where invoices reach the right place without additional effort.”
With Siirto’s e‑invoice address lookup service, invoices can be routed directly to a consumer’s online or mobile bank whenever an address is found in the registry, using the same Finvoice format and delivery route as before. If no e‑invoice address is available, Strålfors’ Omnichannel platform automatically delivers the invoice through the next most suitable channel, such as paper mail or a digital mailbox. The model is designed so that companies do not need to make complex choices – the system handles the process in the background.
Mikko Ketola, Chief Executive Officer of Siirto Brand Oy, sees the cooperation as an opportunity to accelerate the overall development of the industry towards smoother electronic invoicing:
“When consumers do not need to take any additional actions and invoice issuers gain access to a standardised and secure way to reach recipients, the result is a solution that benefits all parties. Our cooperation with Strålfors brings this opportunity broadly to the market.”
A key strength of Siirto is its already extensive user base. The service has more than one million users and operates within banks’ applications, which are opened over one billion times per year in Finland. Initially, the service includes Siirto’s owner banks OP and Nordea, whose customers represent over 70% of Finnish consumers, providing immediate and significant reach. The ambitions are high: Siirto aims to reach 90% consumer coverage by the end of 2026. The renewed Siirto service will be launched before the summer, with a more detailed schedule to be announced closer to the release.
Together, Strålfors and Siirto offer a solution that simplifies the transition to e‑invoicing, clarifies processes and improves reach. For consumers, this means the ability to receive invoices securely where they naturally manage them – in their own online or mobile bank.

Siirto is a Finnish service that brings payments and invoice receipt directly into consumers’ online and mobile banking. Siirto is not a standalone application; instead, it operates within bank applications, initially those of Nordea and OP, providing a familiar and secure user experience.
The service already has more than one million users and is utilised within banking channels that are accessed over one billion times per year in Finland. Siirto’s goal is to make payments and invoice handling as effortless as possible for both consumers and companies, without complex onboarding processes. Siirto Brand Oy is responsible for developing and managing the Siirto service. The company is owned by OP and Nordea, and its objective is to build an interoperable, secure and widely adopted account‑based payments and invoicing infrastructure in Finland. The renewed Siirto service will be launched before summer 2026.
